Stoker (2013), out this weekend, is the first English-language film by Park Chan-wook (director of Oldboy) and stars Nicole Kidman, Matthew Goode and Mia Wasikowska.
It is said to be influenced by Hitchcock’s Shadow of a Doubt (1943) which also features a mysterious ‘Uncle Charlie’ and an uncle/niece relationship of sorts…
After which, the film takes another more sinister direction…
